Israeli forces Thursday overnight detained four Palestinians and injured another across the West Bank, according to local and security sources. They said that several Israeli military vehicles stormed Tubas city in the northeastern West Bank, sparking confrontations. The soldiers shot a young man with a live round in one of his hands and searched several houses, turning them upside down. The casualty was rushed to a hospital for urgent treatment, where medics described his condition as stable. Still in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces barged their way into Askar refugee camp near Nablus, where they rounded up two Palestinians. The midnight raid triggered confrontations which saw local youths showering the military vehicles with stones and empty bottles. No injuries were reported though. Gun-toting soldiers also conducted a raid in Qabatiya town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, where they re-arrested a former prisoner. Meanwhile, police rounded up another from Issawiya neighborhood, which lies on the eastern slopes of Jerusalem, as confirmed by the Wadi Hilweh Information Center.
