Israeli forces detained seven Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank, according to local and security sources. They said that Israeli forces rounded up two minors, both 16, after breaking into the houses of their families in Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah. In the southern West Bank, Israeli soldiers re-arrested a former prisoner in a raid in Bethlehem. The military vehicles stormed Beit Ummar town, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, where soldiers re-arrested a former prisoner. In the northern West Bank, the sources confirmed a raid in Kafr Qallil village, south of Nablus, resulting in the detention of another. Israeli troops also barged their way into al-Yamun town, west of Jenin, where they detained two others after ransacking the houses of their families. Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents. These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
