Israeli occupation forces detain at least 13 Palestinians in West Bank raids

Israeli occupation forces today and last night detained at least 13 Palestinians in multiple raids across the West Bank, according to local and Palestinian security sources. They said that Israeli forces rounded up two Palestinians after breaking into and searching the houses of their families in Qabatiya town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin. Palestinian youngsters protested the raid and hurled stones at the soldiers, who opened fire toward the youths. No injuries were reported though. In Nablus district, military jeeps stormed al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village, south of Nablus city, where the soldiers detained two people and ransacked the houses of their families. Soldiers also barged into Beita town, southeast of Nablus, searched several houses and detained two people, including a former prisoner. They also conducted a raid in Urif village, south of the Nablus, resulting in the detention of one person. Still in the northern West Bank, soldiers appeared at the family house of a former prisoner in Tammoun town, south of Tubas, and re-arrested him. They also forcibly entered a house in Tubas city, conducted a thorough search and detained another. In the southern West Bank, soldiers forced their way into the Bethlehem city neighborhood of Jabal al-Mawalih, where they re-arrested a former prisoner. They also conducted a similar raid in Hebron city, resulting in the detention of two others. Meanwhile, soldiers manning a checkpoint north of Bethlehem stopped and detained another.
