Israeli forces Wednesday overnight detained 14 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank, according to local and security sources. They said that Israeli forces rounded up four Palestinians after breaking into and searching their houses in Bil‘in village, west of Ramallah. In the northern West Bank, Israeli soldiers detained two others after ransacking the houses of their families in Jaba‘ town, south of Jenin. They raided the southern neighborhood of Tulkarm city, and re-arrested a former prisoner. Still in the northern West Bank, the sources confirmed a similar raid in Sanniriya town, south of Qalqiliya, resulting in the detention of another. Gun-toting soldiers barged their way into the al-Masaken al-Shabiya neighborhood of Nablus, where they detained Anas Osta, the chairman of the board of directors of Qamat for Documenting the Palestinian Struggle, a CSO that documents the history of the Palestinian struggle. In Jerusalem, Israeli police detained two others; one from al-Issawiya neighborhood and the other from Silwan neighborhood. In Bethlehem district, soldiers detained a 17-year-old teen after ransacking his parents’ house in al-Ibayyat village, east of the city.
